Well done to all of our wonderful students who took part in our Winter Run today. Children in Junior Infants to 2nd Class ran around the big yard, while children in 3rd- 6th Class ran along Station Road.

This run also in aid of a fundraiser for The Heart Centre in Crumlin Children’s Hospital. A huge thank you to all who have donated to the cause. Finally well done to children in 5th and 6th Class who completed the final mile of their marathon. They received their t shirts and medals today in school.

Next Tuesday 20th December, we will be hosting a Charity Winter Run in ACETNS. This is an annual event to promote physical fitness in our school but we also use it as a fundraiser for a charity in need. In the past we have raised much needed money for Focus Ireland, Goal, Hospice Ireland and the Laura Lynn Foundation. This year we have chosen to support The Heart Centre at Crumlin Children’s Hospital. They are a charity that raises vital funds to support sick children and their families. We had our last GAA training session yesterday on yard. The cold weather did not prevent a large number attending training. We finished with a mini blitz. The girls will have a final challenge match next week against St. Johns. Well done to all children who took part this year, in particular those who never played the sport before. Keep it up.
