Visit to Sky Studios

Our 5th class recently had an unforgettable trip to Sky Studios in Dublin. The students stepped into the roles of directors, producers, scriptwriters, and camera operators, editors, witnesses and experts getting a first-hand look at the world of film and television production.

As a class, we researched and reported on the topic of ‘Artificial Intelligence’ as part of Our Future. Each student took on a different role, allowing them to experience the dynamic process of creating a news report. As scriptwriters, they crafted engaging stories, while directors worked closely with their producers and camera operators to bring those ideas to the screen.

In the editing department, students learned how to piece together their footage, discovering how sound and visuals are used in TV production. Thank you to Lindsey and the Sky Up Academy team for a wonderful day!
