The ACETNS boys and girls senior soccer teams competed at a sundrenched Irishtown Stadium today in the Dublin FAI 5-a-sides football tournament. The boys and girls had some fantastic performances with both teams reaching the semi-finals. The girls lost a thrilling semi-final 5-3. The game was 3-3 with 5 minutes remaining!! The boys lost in the cruelest way possible and were knocked out by penalty shootout.

This brings to an end a very competitive primary soccer season for ACETNS boys and girls teams. The girls played their first ever season in the Dublin School Leagues and can be proud of some great performances. Reaching the semi-finals of the FAI five-a-side was a great boost. The boys went one step further this year and won the league. Congratulations boys!!!

The training of teams and the organisation of buses, jerseys & kits, referees, football pitches and teacher cover requires a huge effort from everyone involved and huge credit must be given to our super team managers : Senior Boys: John & Graham …..Senior Girls: Kevin… and Kit Woman : Katie.
