PGTA News: Halloween Success and Winter Events Update
It’s been a busy and productive month for the PGTA! Following our recent meeting in November, we are delighted to share some exciting updates, financial successes, and a look ahead at our winter calendar.
Halloween Disco: A Spooktacular Success
Our recent Halloween Disco was a fantastic evening for the students. Not only was it a great community event, but it was also a financial success, bringing in a total of €743. This brings our current PGTA account balance to €4,590, which will be reinvested directly into school resources and future student events.
Family Game & Movie Night
Mark your calendars! We’ve adjusted the time to 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM to better accommodate working families.
- What’s happening: The Student Council is picking two movies for the younger cohorts, while the main hall will be transformed into a games zone with tables, chairs, and a giant Jenga!
- Senior Fun: We are planning a photo booth with props for senior classes (Polaroids will be €0.50).
- Note: This is a family event, so parents are required to remain on-site with their children.
Toy Swap & Community News
- Annual Toy Swap: The Green Team and CJ are organizing this year’s swap. Drop off your donations on December 9th and 10th; the swap itself takes place on December 11th.
- Garda Vetting: We encourage any parents interested in volunteering for school trips, swimming, or events to start the Garda Vetting process. It’s quick and essential for best practice—please speak to Tom to get started.
- Local Events: Don’t miss the Adamstown Book Launch on Nov 19th (7 PM) at the Community Centre, featuring stories from our neighbors.
