5th & 6th class were involved in a biodiversity workshop this week with Dale Treadwell. They learned about different trees and minibeasts in and around our school.
Dale brought in some equipment for the children to use to catch and observe the minibeasts found in the tree canopy and ground of our sensory garden. This workshop was provided to the school by the Elliot & Quantain development group, who are currently building in the local area. They teamed up with the Crann (Irish word for tree) initiative to help encourage children in the local area to learn about their environment.
