Children in 3rd to 6th class are working with Sprite Lab in Code.org this week, learning how to code their own dance party.
We are inviting all children to code their own dance party and share the link to their project with their teacher by Wednesday 18th May. Their classmates will vote for the best dance party and prizes will be awarded to winners at each class level.
All children in the school are welcome to make an entry. For the children in the younger classes, they can work with siblings or parents to create their own dance party.
Check out the dance party coding project by following the link below.
Well done to our girls football team who participated in their first matches of the year yesterday. They represented our school really well and both teams reached the final of the mini tournament. Well done to all involved.
As part of Tech Week in ACETNS (9/5/22 – 13/5/22), the children will also be participating in online safety workshops facilitated by Barnardos. The SPHE programme in school and the school’s Digital Strategy both recognise the great importance of developing the children’s awareness and skills to become responsible and safe users of online technology, both in school and at home. We adults also need to raise our own awareness and skills in the area of Online Safety in order to protect and support our children. We encourage all parents to avail of this great opportunity and register for the webinar next week.
An email has been sent out to parents with a link to the webinar. If you have not received this please contact the school.
