Huge congratulations to the ACETNS 3rd & 4th class students who performed as part of the 500 children Big Sing Choir in the National Stadium at The Big Sing Show on Monday the 15th of April.
A glimpse behind the scenes!
The children were so well behaved and cooperative on the bus, in the rehearsals and backstage and they performed so well during the show! The staff who accompanied the children were delighted with the group – we are very proud of you all. After 4 months of learning lyrics and practising our song singing skills it was brilliant to see the whole show come together. The show was hosted by Jake Carter. He also treated the audience to a couple of vocal performances. There were some amazing guest performances by the very talented young soloists – 11 year old Jessica McKean, 16 year old Nessa Ruane Dalton and 18 year old Victor Germanus. There was also a great band of musicians accompanying all the tracks including a keyboard player, guitarist and drummer. Trumpet player Niall O Sullivan showcased his talents in a solo performance. A lively troupe of dancers also added to the performance of the tracks by the Big Sing Choir. Creative director Sean Gilligan and conductors Niamh Walsh and Keila Whelan also performed.
Congrats to all the children on their performance!
It was great to see so many familiar faces in the audience of the 2000 seater stadium supporting our group. Thank you to all who bought tickets and came along on the night! The energy and enjoyment was clear to see on the children’s faces. Such a great experience that the children will remember throughout their lives. Well done to all involved!
