What a Week….

I’m sure everyone is very tired today after a hugely action packed and enjoyable week in ACETNS. Our annual Active Week was a hive of activity in the school.

Tennis Ireland visited on Monday for Junior Classes and gave a mini tennis lesson.

We were also treated to Zumba lessons from Susanna on Monday and Tuesday.

The week continued for 4th-6th on Tuesday with a trip to Airlie Park for athletics. Here the kids participated in hurdles, shot putt, relays and long jump.

2nd class and Junior Infants were visited by Noel for a football lesson and Sanjeeta visited 4th class for a dance lesson. We also had Cricket Ireland visit our school to work with Senior Infants, 1st and 3rd Class.

Sports Day for 3rd-6th Class took place in Lucan Sarsfields on Wednesday. There was a mixture of novelty sports, tug of war, GAA, football, handball and lots more. Thanks to all the parents who came out to support. Junior Sports Day on Thursday has been rearranged to next Thursday 20th due to the poor weather.

We finished Active Week with assembly on yard this morning followed a visit from the ice cream van. Finally the 6th Class v staff dodgeball match took place on yard after lunch. A very tense and competitive game finished 4-2 to staff. Thank you to everyone for a great week.
